Norwich CPD Days
Supervision Day -14th April 10:00 – 5pm
In this supervision day Cliff will be using a variety of teaching and learning methods such as tutorials, demonstrations and practical work, to allow you to develop your personal approach to Shiatsu. You will be encouraged, as part of a small supportive group, to reflect upon and explore ways of taking your Shiatsu to the next level. Cliff will develop the themes and activities from your individual requests and from the questions and the needs of the group. The exact themes will be developed on the day but supervision days typically include:
- Improving consistency in Hara diagnosis
- How to increase your clinical effectiveness
- Enhancing your perception of Ki
- Meridian and Point revision
- Personal support on your Shiatsu journey
Cliff has been leading small group supervisions for over 20 years and they are a unique way for you to extend and explore your Shiatsu beyond the normal workshop format in a relaxed, supportive and enjoyable environment.
Location: The Shiatsu Centre, 20a Lower Goat Lane Norwich, NR2 4EL
Treating Symptoms with Meridians – 9th June 10:00 – 5pm
How can we help our clients with their symptoms without our work becoming narrowly symptomatic? How can we work energetically and still understand and engage with our clients’ issues and problems? An understanding of the Meridian system based on the work of Masunaga and Pauline Sasaki can provide us with a flexible, practical and energetic approach to working specific health conditions. The Kyo/Jitsu method extended into the wider Ki field can give us a positive and direct way to work with our clients. In this practical intensive workshop we will be exploring:
Understanding symptoms as expressions of meridian functions
- Directly experiencing the meridians as vibrations in the field
- Treating symptoms using the Kyo/Jitsu method
- Monitoring the actions of Points in treatment
- The multidimensional nature of symptoms
Cliff has developed his approach to using Shiatsu for treating symptoms over the last 25 years, and he will be sharing his understanding of both the Zen Shiatsu and Quantum Shiatsu systems.
Location: The Shiatsu Centre – 20a Lower Goat Lane, Norwich, NR2 4EL
Chakra’s and the Central Channels with Nicola Ley. Sat 14th July 10am – 5:30pm
In this course we will explore the Chakras and how they can be linked to the Central Channels of Traditional Chinese Medicine. We will use Shiatsu and our own direct experiences to connect with the Chakras and to discover for ourselves how the different Chakras interact with the subtle bodies.
The day will include meditation, Qigong and practical exercises to help develop subtle energetic perception. The emphasis will be on self-exploration and discovery, and on giving you confidence in the unique way in which you interpret energy work.
Nicola Ley
Nicola studied with Pauline Sasaki in the latter stages of her high-energy and ‘Lightbody’ work. She has also been developing her Qigong practice through her studies with Master Zhixing Wang and Dominic Hill. The Lightbody work and Qigong are two practices that strongly support each other.
Nicola loves this approach, which frees her from a focus on the details of pathology and allows her to work directly with the soul and with the healing energy of the whole person.
