Open Programme
This is an Open Modular programme, introducing the exciting world of working with the human energy field. Students may enrol on as many or as few Modules as they choose, simply out of interest or to enhance their current skills.
The workshops and modules of the Open Programme can be taken as stand alone units for those who would prefer to explore Shiatsu and energy work and deepen their knowledge and perception without the commitment of working towards practitioner status.
If you wish to study Shiatsu in order to gain practitioner status, you can choose modules to build credits to enter theCore Programme. See below for required modules.To find out more about the requirements, download a copy of the prospectus here
If you are interested in learning more about Shiatsu but do not want the commitment of a practitioners course, then choose from the variety of workshops and modules below. These are also great for CPD, open to all who share our love and fascination of Shiatsu.

Introduction to Energy Work
1st/2nd October 2011

Aimed at beginners, this introduction will provide you with the tools of basic energy work.

Foundations of Shiatsu
15th/16th October, 12th /13th November, 3rd/4th December
Spread over 3 weekends, this module introduces the basic principles of Shiatsu. You will develop your practical and highly effective Shiatsu skills, which you can practice on family and friends. You will be introduced to the Daoist theories that underpin it, including an exploration of the qualities and nature of Chi and the principles of Yin and Yang that are at the heart of all branches of Traditional Eastern Medicine.

Light Body Shiatsu

With Nicola Lee. Nicola is a founder member of The Shiatsu College and a world renown Shiatsu teacher. She explores meridians, chakras, and the energy body whilst reminding us of the importance of the basics of Shiatsu.

The Open Programme Study Package
As an alternative to booking and paying for modules separately, we offer an ‘Open Programme Study Package’ This is ideal for beginners wanting to study towards entering the Core Programme and professional qualification.
We offer a discounted price of £1,350 if you decide to commit to all the 9 weekend workshops plus the online anatomy course required to join the Core Programme. This includes the NOCN certification fee.
If paid for individually, the total cost of 9 modules and workshops would be £1,560 (early birds £1,460) (excluding NOCN registration) Your fees for the whole Open Programme can be paid with a deposit and monthly standing orders.
Please note that comprehensive course notes are supplied and included in this sum, but the cost of text books or any equipment you may wish to have for your own use outside the College, is not.
